CREATED FOR YOU BY THE MAKERS OF THE DAIRY DIARY

In autumn you’ll be picking your final fruit crops – apples, blackberries, redcurrants – as well as the remaining vegetables. Inevitably, autumn also means tidying up. Leaves must be swept up as they fall and plants prepared for the winter ahead. Think, too, about spring bulbs; don’t delay too long in putting them into containers or the ground, ready for a splendid spring display. This season is also suitable for large and small DIY projects. Remember, too, your garden wildlife – make a winter hideaway for hedgehogs and put out food for the birds.
